"Allan for the las--" he was cut off as he watched Allan fall back in to one of their own traps. He had reached forward to try to catch his hand but it was to late Allan had already fallen. Coming to the edge of the hole he looked down "You alright!" hearing Allan say that he was okay made Will let out a breath that he didn't know that he was holding. "Sorry, I forgot" he said clearly telling the truth. They had so many traps nowadays he was amazed he didn't fall in to one himself.
"Hang on I think we keep a rope near by just encase" turning away from the hole he looked around a little. "Come on where are you.." he said out loud before spotting the rope that was covered by leaves. "Thank you" he said looking up to the heavens before grabbing the rope. Tying the one end to a near by tree he stepped over to the hole and dropped the side down. "Grab on and I'll pull you up!" Will said before stepping back a little and taking the rope in hands as tight as he could "Ready!".

He forgot? He forgot? Allan let out an exasperated sigh. How did one forget where they'd laid a trap, particularly a painful one? Allan was fairly sure no one was supposed to be hurt when falling into the pit, that he was just really unlucky, but he was grouchy all the same.
He heard Will mumble something about a rope, and he was pleased - he didn't fancy his chances of climbing out of the hole (and, somewhere in his head, he acknowledged that that was the point of the trap) but he wasn't sure Will could pull him up either. Sure, Will was pretty strong - came from chopping all that wood and fighting guards - but Allan was no lightweight, and it was a reasonable distance.
I can try and help my taking most of my weight off the rope, he mused, not as happy with the thought as he could have been because it meant using his bad foot, but certainly better than being stuck in the hole all night. He wrapped the rope round his foot, making a step, and held on tightly, putting the other foot against the wall of the pit.
Despite all his grumbling, he appreciated that Will was helping. If he were honest about it, Allan probably would have left him in the hole for a bit and sat nearby, making him think he was alone. Or, at least, he thought he might... Nowadays, he wasn't so sure.
"Ready!" he called back. When he felt the tug of the rope, he pushed off the wall slightly, holding a small jutting with one hand and shimmying his foot up. It was a slow process, but thanks to Will's steady pulling on the rope, he eventually got out. When he could see golden leaves instead of mud once more, he laid on the ground and smiled at Will. He could see the young man was exhausted, face flushed from exertion and sweat sticking his hair to his face as it dried in the cool breeze.
"Well, that was fun, eh?"

Hearing Allan call back that he was ready he made sure his feet were solid on the ground. Will was pretty strong but he knew it was gonna take more then himself to get Allan up. Thankfully it didn't take that long to get him out. When Allan did Will couldn't help but take a seat not that far from him. Clearly out of breath and had the feeling his arms were going to hurt later in the day.
"Most fun I've had in a long time" laughing he shook his head before standing up. "You sure your alright? not hurt or anything?" he said flashing the older outlaw a tiny look. The hole was pretty deep he wouldn't amazed if Allan was hurt.

"Right, so next time you're in a mood I'll fall into another of your traps! Instant upper."
Allan scratched his head a little, still grinning a bit. Well, he hadn't said he was alright health wise, not really - just that he was conscious. Ok, he lied completely but at that precise moment he'd been dizzy, not in pain. He gave a sheepish shrug.
"Think me ankle's sprained, actually," he replied, waving in the general direction of the swollen appendage. Usually he wouldn't admit to it, but it was actually hurting a lot and that was worrying him slightly. Or maybe he was being overly paranoid. He never knew. "I don't think it's too bad, though, help me up and we'll see..."

"We should get back to camp" he said as he helped Allan up. "Djaq can take a look at it, make sure its nothing more then just a sprain" he said before taking one of Allan's arms and wrapping it across his shoulder. "Try not to stand on it. It'll only make it worse" he said clearly knowing what it was like to have a sprain ankle.

"You won't be getting any complaints from me, mate," Allan replied, grateful for the assistance. He couldn't believe it, first proper day back in England and LOOK - he goes and hurts himself. What does that say about his skills since he'd left? Made him look like a right washout, that was what...
Allan grinned at Will, again thankful for the assistance. Even getting up had proven to him that he wouldn't have been able to walk on his own.
"Do you reckon they'd be back at camp yet? We've not been gone that long, have we? Maybe we should go to Knighton?" he asked hopefully. He didn't want to ruin Will's little trip more than he already had.
(No worries, short is cool~ They can't all be three pages long >_>)

Thinking for a second he nodded to Allan "Your right, plus Knighton is closer the sooner you get off of your ankle the better" he said with a smile as he continued to walk making sure that some of Allan's weight was on him instead of Allan ankle.
"If anyone asks what happened we got in to a huge fight with twenty guards" Will said with a smirk on his face. He knew Allan was thinking the same thing. Allan had ego about the same size as Robin's. So saying something totally different from what really happened kept one ego in check.

Allan blinked. He was right? Well, that was a first! He decided to keep hold of that thought and bit his tounge - right now he wanted Will's help walking and commenting on such a thing would probably find him limping all the way back to camp.
"Make it twenty five and you've got yourself a deal," he replied, thinking of the incredulous look on the others faces. It was a blatant lie, yes, but it always served to amuse. And he rarely heard Will talk like this, so he'd milk it for all it was worth.
"So I got shoved down a hill when one of the guards, slain, toppled on top of me?" he asked innocently.

Hearing Allan make up an excuse about how he hurt himself made Will laugh "Think that'll slide with the others?" he said with a raised brow before looking up and noticing that Knighton was actually a lot closer then they thought. Will could already see smoke coming from some of the houses. "I hope Djaq and Marian are still there" he said within his head as he continued to walk.
( I guess we can move to Knighton now?)
