Djaq couldn't help but smile when Will was able to respond quite coherently to her questions. She watched as Luke took one of Will's arms, helping the injured man up and Djaq went to his other side, one of her hands on his back, the other on his chest as she let his arm rest around her shoulders. She looked over at Luke, so happy that the younger Scarlett boy wouldn't have to mourn anymore.
But soon Djaq came back to reality. "Yes, time to go before more guards come," she said. Djaq looked up at Will, wincing at the the cuts and bruises the poor man had endured. She knew how to take care of them and once back at camp she would be able to start the healing process, but not now. Now she needed to escape. "Are you ready?" Djaq asked Will.

Once he was finally up on his two feet thanks to Djaq and Luke he tried not to put so much weight on either of them. To get out of the dungeons fast they would have to move faster. Even though it hurt to walk putting the weight on just himself seemed to work with getting out of the dungeons faster. Feeling Luke comfort him by shaking his shoulder Will half smiled.
"I picked these up for you." looking at his younger sibling he noticed he had both his hatchet and long axe with him. Which suddenly caused his now wounded hand to twitch slightly just to remind himself that it would be doubtful he would be able to handle them again because of the stab wound caused by the guard.
"Are you ready?" "Y-yeah" his voice sounded a little weak as they started to make there way up to the dungeons steps. Every step they took Will tried not to show that he was in any pain just to spare Luke from it. Even though he clearly was, walking probably wasn't the best thing to be doing. But it was the only way to get out of the dungeons.

Will seemed determined not to let either him or Djaq help and Luke spared a moment to glare at the back of his head. Even after torture his brother was still as stubborn as ever and it was infuriating. He was acting like they hadn't just arrived to rescue him... like he wasn't even hurt. Luke could be just as stubborn though, and he kept a trembling hand resting on Will's shoulder, steadying his brother and ready to catch him if he fell.
The gnawing worry started to burn at Luke's insides again. The initial flooding relief at seeing his brother alive was fading off (partly due to the annoyance he was feeling about Will being so headstrong) and he was starting to wonder how they were ever going to get out. The guards would know there was an outlaw in the dungeons, they would never get out unnoticed and they were hardly in a fit state to fight their way out. He looked at his brother again, just trying to reassure himself that he was really safe.
Will was pale, far too pale. Luke's face twisted with worry, he'd never seen his brother look so ill before, there were dark smudges under his eyes and his skin was a sickly pallor that was uncomfortably reminiscent of death. ”Will?” Luke whispered, knowing they should be staying silent but needing to hear from his brother that he wasn't seriously injured. He didn't think he could speak any louder without his voice cracking anyway, and he didn't want Will to worry about him. ”Are you alright? Gisborne... he didn't.” Luke swallowed hard, hating that he was even saying it. ”Did he hurt you?”
He couldn't face it if Will hurt himself even more just because he was trying to protect his little brother. His little brother who couldn't even stage a rescue without coming close to tears every five minutes. His belt felt strange without the weight of Will's axes at his side, it was strange how used to having them there he'd got even though he'd only had them for a few hours. Looking for comfort elsewhere his fingers found their way to Will's hand. He grasped at it and frowned as he felt rough material wrapped around his brother's palm and a dampness on his fingers. ”Will?” He asked more insistently this time, suddenly feeling very sick.

Djaq looked over to Luke as she heard him speak. "Come on, we need to get out," she said. "Much is waiting in the courtyard." She didn't want to leave Much alone for much longer as he was accident prone generally. She inwardly winced at what Luke was asking. Of course Will was not alright. She could see the damage done to him and she would be surprised if he stayed conscious long enough to get him into daylight and on the back of a horse.
"This is not the time," she finally said, turning to catch Luke's eyes. "And Will, we can bare your weight," she added. Will shouldn't be walking at the moment and she wasn't going to let him kill himself through chivalry. Men could be so ridiculous sometimes, and though this was one thing Djaq loved about Will, at the moment she wished he was a jerk who would take advantage of the help mercilessly.

”Will? are you alright? Gisborne... he didn't. Did he hurt you?” Will was going to say something but before he could he heard Djaq speak saying it wasn't the time. He was actually glad she had spoken up. The last thing he wanted to was to have Luke more worried then he already was. "Djaq's right, we'll talk once we get back to camp" he said with a tiny nod before hearing Djaq tell him to put his extra weight on her and Luke. Even though he didn't really want to he did and put his weight on both persons.
Feeling Luke grab at his hand made let out a groan and close his eyes. One thing Will wished was that his hand had gone numb like it had before. But he guessed the only reason why it did was because he had passed out shortly after it did. Reopening his eyes he turned head to Luke seeing that the younger boy face had suddenly gone for nice tan color to a shade of pale. "I-Its nothing Luke I'm alright" he knew putting the brave face on wasn't going to convince Luke. Truth was it was more or less convincing himself that he was alright. Even through he clearly was not at all.

"Will!" Luke hissed again, ignoring Djaq's warning that they should be swift and quiet. He'd heard the muffled groan escape Will's throat when he'd touched the injury and he drew his hand back quickly. He held his fingers up to the light filtering down from the top of the dungeon steps and squinted at the substance wetting them. It was definitely blood. Luke's heart lurched in his chest, his brother was hurt, badly hurt.
Luke stopped moving, bringing their slow and clumsy ascent of the stairs to a stand still simply because Will and Djaq could not keep pressing forwards while Will was leaning so heavily on his brother. "I'm not going another step!" He announced stubbornly, knowing he was blackmailing the two of them into halting. Will would never leave him in the castle alone and Djaq would not abandon her fellow outlaw. "Not until Will's hand is properly wrapped!"
He understood their need for haste but Will was still bleeding and any wound that could seep through that thick old rag he had wrapped around his hand was serious enough to warrant attention. It would do them no good to press forward if it drained his brother of all his energy before they even got to Much. Luke stared at Will, daring him to protest and try to insist they keep going, his eyes were wide and watery. He wasn't above using tears to get his way.

"Luke!" Djaq was very upset now. Will probably couldn't take much more than this and suddenly Luke was acting like a baby and Djaq couldn't take it. "Fine," she said, finally giving in as she realized it was pointless. Perhaps Luke did have a point, Will's hand did need attention as the wound was possibly deep and the loss of blood did no good for Will.
"Show me your hand Will," she said, holding out her own as she took out some gauze she had packed. "Luke, I cannot stop the bleeding now, but I can try and prevent it from bleeding so freely. But after this we need to go." Djaq was ready to give him some sort of parental punishment soon if he wasn't careful. Not only was she an outlaw, but she was also a woman and would one day most likely be a mother. It came with the territory.

"I'm not going another step! not until Will's hand is properly wrapped!" If Will had the energy to glare at his younger sibling he would have. But at the moment the only thing that was probably keeping him awake and coherent was the fact that he was moving and talking. Will could see that Djaq was annoyed by Luke's sudden out burst and the fact they had stopped moving.
Hearing her ask for his hand he didn't move it at first. When his eyes shifted to Luke he sighed lightly before unhooking his arm off of Luke's shoulder. Will hadn't noticed before but since he had been stabbed the cloth had wrapped around his hand was covered in blood on both sides. Blood had even started to drip down his finger tips. Before he even unwrapped it he turned his head to look at Luke "Don't look at it".
Will knew that Luke was squeamish so telling him not to look at it probably saved Luke from passing out. Turning his attention back to Djaq he carefully undid the cloth showing Djaq a not so clean cut right through his palm. The guard knew what he was doing when he had done it. Luckily that knife hadn't hit any bone from what Will could tell. He was just worried that he couldn't move his fingers since the knife wound happened.

Luke's eyes flashed with annoyance as Djaq got angry with him. He knew he was young, and somewhat new to the outlaw experience, but he also knew his brother and he knew when he was in pain. He opened his mouth to argue some more, convince Djaq that they had to stop, when she caved. Luke was flooded with relief, for all his stubborn insistence he had, for a moment, been afraid that the two of them would press on without him.
The warm weight of Will's arm around his shoulder was lifted and in the light from the corridor ahead Luke caught a proper view of the bloodied cloth wrapped around his brother's hand. His already pale face went even greyer in colour and his stomach did a kind of odd flip that made him feel nauseous. "Don't look at it". Will told him and Luke nodded weakly, he already felt sick and he hadn't even seen the wound yet.
Luke turned his head away and closed his eyes tight. It was no use though, he kept picturing the flesh of his brother's hand tattered and seeping blood. The white glint of bone visible in the tear even as it was stained crimson. He gagged and put a hand to the wall to steady himself, working hard not to throw up on the stairs. Taking deep breaths he glanced over and saw Djaq bending over Will's palm, tending to a nasty cut running so deep it came out the other side.
Luke felt light headed and he swallowed hard. He would not let this fear of blood take over. He had to be strong for Will. He couldn't expect his injured brother to have to stop and worry about him it was his turn to do the worrying. He hand was trembling uncontrollably as he reached out to squeeze Will's shoulder. He tried to give his brother a smile, but he knew it was unconvincing, he probably looked little better than Will did colour wise right now.

Djaq looked at Will's hand, glad that both brothers were behaving. She was afraid one of them would put up some kind of a fuss and she couldn't please both of them while trying to keep them alive in the Sheriff's dungeon! She was sure they were going to get caught and she didn't think they could handle fighting another guard, so she quickly inspected the cut before making a decision.
"It does not seem as bad as you would think," she said, mainly for Luke. "Though it is not clean, I can wrap it now and apply some salves to it once we get back to camp." She quickly cleaned the wound as best as she could before tightly wrapping it with the bandages. Looking at the wound, she saw now tendons or bones had been severed or broken. He would most likely be able to use the hand again, as long as no infection took to the wound, and Djaq would fight the infection rather than let Will lose his hand.
"Now we need to go, or face the possibility of all of us landing in the dungeons," she said, glaring at Luke. She then looked up at Will, trying to show him through her look that he would be alright and his hand would be fine. It was probably numb from loss of blood, but he would be alright. A small, though sad smile came across her face before she let it drop and began to walk again.

Will had to close his eyes as Djaq did what she could to his hand till they reached camp. Feeling a shaky hand grip on to his shoulder made him turn his head and spot an almost ghostly pale Luke. Will had seen that look before and knew that Luke could throw up any moment. But from the looks of it Luke was actually holding on to it. Which made Will feel proud his younger sibling.
When Djaq finished rewrapping his hand Will lifted his gaze to hers. Even though she hadn't said anything he could tell just by reading her that maybe all hope was not lost for his wounded hand. Placing his hand back across Luke's shoulders they started to make there way out of the dungeons once again.
As they did Will couldn't help but notice the man that had caused his stab wound lay on the ground cradling his hand to his chest much like he had been in the cell before Djaq and Luke found him. Raising brow he looked at Djaq feeling she had been the one that had done it. He couldn't help but let a tiny smile form as they walked past him and out of the dungeons.
(I god-modded like..tiny itty bit hope that's alright)

Despite Luke feeling like he was about to lose the contents of his stomach, his relief at Djaq's words showed on his face. The weak smile he'd managed grew stronger as the dread that Will may never be able to use his hand again lessened. He didn't want to think about how devastated his brother would have been if he hadn't been able to use his hands. He knew how much he loved carpentry, it was a trait that Dan had passed on to the elder Scarlett boy, a trait that Luke envied.
With Will's hand tended to Luke felt a little better, he didn't feel like his brother would bleed out while they were trying to escape the castle. Djaq snapped a warning for them to get moving and he felt the brunt of her less than amiable stare. A note of righteous indignation bubbled up inside him, he'd been right to stop and insist Will's hand be wrapped, it wasn't his fault that Will was so stubborn that he hadn't shown her the wound until they were on the move.
Djaq was looking up at Will, her gaze softening and her eyes wide and reassuring. Luke felt a little pang, she clearly cared for him and he her. While Luke had been in Scarborough his brother had found new friends. More than that, a new family. The arm Will placed across his shoulders was a small comfort, but it still wasn't enough to assure him that he wouldn't be sent away to be forgotten again as soon as this adventure was over. Will was all he had left.
They made their way past the weedy man that he and Djaq had taken down on the way in. Luke saved him an especially acid glare, the man had caused that moment of raw panic that had almost consumed him when he'd told them Will was dead. He only just managed to restrain himself, knowing that they didn't have time to exact revenge on every guard that tried to get in their way.
”Which way is the courtyard?” Luke murmured as they turned the corner and made their way down yet another deserted corridor. His voice was painfully loud as it echoed off the stone walls and he wished he hadn't spoken. He didn't remember it taking this long on the way in, then again he hadn't been carrying the majority of his brother's weight then. Will was heavier than he looked and Luke was trying extra hard to make the journey as smooth as possible so as not to aggravate his sibling's wounds further.

Djaq ignored the lanky man on the floor, though there was a small smile as she noticed him holding his wounded hand. Deserved him right for doing the same thing to Will, even though she hadn't known that before. She could feel the weight of Will grow heavier as they walked. He wasn't a big man, but he was tall and had some wight to him. They were finally out of the dungeons and in a corridor. Djaq remembered the way they came in, and she guessed that the best thing to do was to leave the same way.
"Here, this way," she said, turning left into the kitchens. "It's through those doors. Much should be waiting for us there," she said, trying to hide the shortness of breath in her voice. Djaq would not relax until she was back in the camp and Will was all bandaged up and out of harm's way. "Come on, not far," she added, trying to encourage the two and herself. This had been one of the worse days for Djaq and she just wished it would be all over, but she knew that it was still not quite over.
The daylight pouring into the kitchen was nice after the dank darkness in the dungeons. It almost felt like all the terrible things that happened to Will in the cell didn't happen except there was the proof on his face and hand. She knew what she would do back at the camp. She would have to clean his wounds and wrap them. But right now she had to think of Much. Would Much do what he was supposed to and provide the necessary distractions so they could get out? And where was Robin and Marian? She hoped that they were alright and safe. She had not heard any alarming sounds so she guessed that they got in and out and were waiting for the three of them to arrive in the courtyard.
