I was chatting with Ann earlier on and we thought that perhaps it would be a good idea to perhaps make some NPC (or Non-Player Characters) so that a) we actually have populated villages, and b) sometimes characters can interact with other characters without the need to wait for another RPer.
I mean, people in the same situation as Nat are, at the moment, kind of screwed because there's no one in their area.
It also allows some extra postage - if you need to fill it out a bit, you can godmod the NPCs because you don't need permission, and private events (such as Sebby might have when dressing - if he's the sort of noble who makes a servant help him dress, or Imani down in the kitchens; the guard on the door in our latest plot; random villagers) would be easier to post.
A list of said NPCs also sorts out what each village is renowned for (as it might well have had a particular source of income - Clun from small mines, perhaps, Knighton from cloth and milling, Locksley from its carpentry, etc) and allow for the place to seem a little more full, as well as give a little more room for plots AND allow access to a database of familiar faces for characters to interact with (so we don't have three different Nigels of Knighton who are shepards, or something).
Whaddya think?
EDIT: Also thought it would be a good idea for people who want to join but can't think of a character - they could possibly take one of the NPCs and make it a PC. : D
