Description: Rowena has lived in Knighton her entire life and has never felt any need to go any further afield than Scarborough once a long time ago. In her 57 years she only managed to settle down with one man long enough to marry him and have a child, this may have something to do with her constant nagging. In her old age she relys entirely on her son to provide for her, although she only seems to have grown hardier and more cynical with each year that passes.
She does not believe in all the foolish romantic notions bandying about in the youth of today. With all the young men going off to die in wars or become outlaws and all the young women getting rediculous notions that they should ever do anything other than stay at home she wonders how anyone manages to get anything done at all. Rowena is often seen lurking around Knighton Square muttering to anyone who will listen. The children avoid her because she'll usually give them a clip round the ear for some imagined midemeanor and the adults put up with her grudgingly.
