Name: Thomas Scarlett

Hair Color: A very dark brown

General Appearance: Thomas is an impressively built man, with strong muscles and being rather tall. He would look relatively threatening if it was not for his cheeky grin which showed off his perfectly white teeth which is on his face most of the time. Tom’s hair is a dark brown and he has this cut short.He has quite a straight,thin face and this,when he is not grinning, can sometimes give the impression that he looks worried. However; he is fairly good looking which he uses to his advantage wherever possible. His complexion is slightly pale but can appear to be tanned at times.
Tom’s clothes aren’t of the greatest quality due to him not being especially wealthy but he does try to keep as neat an appearance where possible. He mainly wears dark brown clothes with dark black knee length boots. Moreover, he sometimes wears a dark cloak to cover himself.
Likes: -Drinking, gambling, women, being liked and, to a certain extent, himself.
Dislikes: Dan Scarlett, fighting, responsibility.
Personality: The first impression that you get from Tom is that he is a generally, pleasant, care free person. He likes to chat and joke with everyone even if he doesn’t know them especially well. He can be great fun and rarely ever sulks when he is offended as that would just depress him further. However, when you get to know more of Tom and, as a result, find out more about his personality, then he can be exceedingly selfish. He would not be willing to put effort into anything to help a so called friend of his or even relative. Another more negative aspect of Tom is that he is vain and is not afraid to show this because he will constantly look in mirrors wherever possible.
Tom is a bit of a ladies’ man and will flirt in Taverns, especially when drunk. He enjoys the company of beautiful women more to men as he can enjoy them telling him how handsome he is as opposed to a man who would just have a joke. The company he least enjoys though is that of his family as he has to be more responsible around them and used to have to try and set a good example.

Nephew: Will Scarlett.
Nephew: Luke Scarlett.
Background: Thomas was born in England in a small village where he had a good childhood, if a little ordinary. He would play games with his older brother regularly who he liked to look up to as he was an intelligent and skilled man who was more than capable of following in their father’s footsteps and become a successful Carpenter. Tom wasn’t jealous of that at all though. In fact he was just proud of his brother. Besides, it was a running joke between them as Tom got older that Dan had received all the intelligence and Tom had received all of the looks which pleased the younger Scarlett brother greatly.
When their father, John, passed away, Tom was devastated. He had had a great relationship with his father and loved him very much. After that...Well,Tom and Dan weren’t so close. Tom had taken to gambling and drinking after his father had died whereas Dan had taken a much more mature approach and tried to support himself and his brother. Dan, although annoyed at Tom’s apparent lack of motivation, had tolerated it until his wife had had the last of her two children. Tom was allowed to stay until Luke was about 7 but it was decided that it would be best for him to leave. After an intense argument between Dan and Tom, he was cut off from the Scarlett family and was left to go find another life outside of theirs.
Afterwards, Tom was in a particularly bad state and spent a lot of time falling drunk out of Taverns and various women's houses. With no job, he had made a pretty bad start in his indedependant life and had little way of supporting himself. Using the little money he had, Tom decided to try and gamble to get more of it and in turn gain wealth. Luckily, he was relatively good at this and managed to secure enough money for himself to have a relatively decent life. However, as of late, Tom's life had taken a turn for the worse with him getting into a bit of trouble with the local girls, so he has decided to return to Locksley.
Anything else: Tom is brilliant with numbers and can quite easily calculate difficult sums in his head. This is the only intelligence he seems to have though as he struggles to read or write.

RP Sample: The path was broken and uneven as Thomas strolled casually into Knighton, the houses sticking out of unkempt grass like weeds. They looked damp and ruined in a little way that made Thomas a little anxious. He knew that these parts had gotten poorer by rumour but he didn’t realise how bad it had gotten. All the same,he had a little bit of money which, to him, was all that mattered.
He did have to admit to himself that he had been feeling guilty of late though. He had left his nephews all alone whilst both their parents had died. He had considered going back to help them out to see if they were alright but something, he shouldn’t say better but he supposed it was, always came along first. Now was the perfect time to go check up on them however. He had made a right mess at the moment as he had cheated on one of his girlfriends resulting in a large slap right across his face. Well, several slaps....from several girls. Tom smirked to himself.
Now, if only he could find Luke.He wanted to speak to him the most actually as he had always got on well with the boy. True, even when he was a child, he was sulky but he could be very fun. Tom did like Will as well but the fact, or rumour, that he was now an outlaw made Tom a bit uneasy to say the least. He didn’t want to end up in some dark dungeon awaiting his death. That thought wiped the smirk straight off his face.
Glancing around some more, he judged that finding Luke may be harder than he thought.It was pretty ridiculous, really, expecting the search to be easy. Tom had no idea what he even looked like now and it was possible that he may not even be in Locksley. Tom sighed a little and began his search.
