Position: Lady of Merton
Job: Doesn't have one, other than to attend Council of Nobles and look 'pretty'.
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Height: 5'5
General Appearance: Daine has a petite frame, as she is rather short and too thin for her own good. The main bulk of her is her hair, which has a mind of its own. She often wears a dark gloomy face, complimented by her dark eyes and the scowl on her face.
She isn't adverse to wearing dresses, she just prefers the really pretty ones or to wear breeches (trousery things me thinks). Whenever in breeches, she wears corset like waistcoats over various shirts and under-shirts. But whatever she wears, she always tries to get a scarf into her outfit; and she never takes her mother's locket from around her neck. It lives there.
Likes: To be a pain, be it to her brother or Nobles or the Sheriff. She has always enjoyed cooking, since a very small age. Another like for Daine is trying to read what people are thinking just by looking at their faces.
Dislikes: The Sheriff, but what person in their right mind does? She also dislikes her brother, very much. She's not too fond of most of the Nobles really. She prefers the villager's company.
Personality: Daine appears to be rather grumpy at all times, but take her away from her house and she suddenly becomes a lot nicer. Though a lot nicer for her still isn't particularly nice in comparison. She is quite judgemental, which comes from much practice at reading Nobles.
Daine is very tempermental, one minute she's your best friend then the next she's either yelling at you or storming off upset. She's quick to anger and takes a long time to trust, having felt like she'd been betrayed most of her life. Her biggest fear is letting herself fall in love.
She wants to be free from her Noble life because she hates the Sheriff and everything attached to being a Noble. She would love to run into the forest, but is too worried about what would happen to her village if she did. Maybe one day... is what she tells herself.
She is liable to go absolutely crazy.
Family: Mother; Lady Alexis Merton - deceased (When Daine was 13)
Father; Lord Walter Merton - deceased (When Daine was 17)
Brother - Lord Brian Merton - 23 - Daine hates him because he sucks up to the Sheriff
Background: Daine has lived in Merton all her life, only travelling round Nottinghamshire. When younger, Daine used to play with the village children when she wasn;t making a mess in the kitchen. When her mother died, Daine left the village streets and stayed in the kitchen for as long as she could. After that she picked up her habit of reading people.
Being a Noble, Daine has met Robin a few times though he wouldn't recognise her now as the last time he saw her was before he went to war. She was on better terms with Marian though, as they used to talk when their fathers met up in the 'good old days' when Edward was Sheriff.
Anything else: Her brother is a bum and she hates his guts. He brown-noses the Sheriff, cos he's scared for his own life.
