Lily was making her way through the forest to Nottingham, basket of bread still slightly warm from the oven resting in the nook of her arm. She was playing delivery girl again. Lily did not mind one bit though. She was on her way to Nottingham, and her favourite person - besides her father - worked there. She wasn't supposed to go to the castle, this was an order from a physician, but she could always hope.
Lily was a complete optimist. Even though Nottingham was a big place, with lots of back alleys to get lost in, she still believed that she would either run into James or catch sight of him. And if she didn't see him on the streets, she could always try and sneak into the castle. But she'd only get lost... again. Though the last time hadn't been so bad either. She'd met Asher, another very nice young man. He didn't quite have that same sparkle as James did, but he was not hard to look at, at all. Lily the optimist, finding the good in every situation.
She was too busy lost in things to say to either of her Nottingham fancies, that she didn't think of the immediate danger she was in. The forest wasn't a particularly nice place for a seventeen year old to be in, especially a female one. Her Pa had even told her to be extra careful in the forest, but sadly Lily was away with the fairies. Well, two very pretty fairies. It was hard for Lily to see all that could go wrong on such a beautiful spring day, what with the sun shining, birds singing and whatnot.
She certainly wasn't expecting someone who could be considered a ghost to Merton...

It had been a few days since Todd had been 'accepted' into the Greensleeves gang. He knew some of the group still didn't want him there, especially Gavin, but Gina had managed to convince him to give it a try. At least I know their real names now. Alfie thought to himself. It had been very annoying and very confusing when Gina gave everyone code names. Todd was more annoyed with himself for not realising they were fake. Archibold and Eustace weren't exactly outlaw names were they? And the way she grinned when naming everyone should've been a give-away. All that didn't matter now though. Alfie had been accepted, so all he had to do was stay accepted.
Todd had a plan. He was going to do something to get in the Greensleeves' good books. He had it all figured out. He would walk through the forest, waiting for an easy target to ambush. Hopefully it would be someone like an old (and better yet, rich) man so Todd actually stood a chance. His leg still hadn't completely recovered from Gina's arrow being imbedded in it. Todd still walked with a limp, so there was no chance he could take on a group of healthy young men.
He heard someone walking through the forest just ahead of where he was standing. He crept carefully forwards, taking extra caution to not break any branches or rustle any leaves. He could smell some freshly baked bread. I would have preferred money, but food will have to do. At least we'll have something proper to eat tonight. Todd remembered how thin some of his meals had been since he came to the forest. A good meal is unfortunately not always an option.
Alfie pulled his dagger from its home around his waist. Ok it wasn't the best weapon, but surely a bread delivery wouldn't be so heavily guarded? He waited for his moment, then jumped out of the trees and in front of....
"Lily?"
