Simon Wells was in a foul mood. First, he’d been forced to go out on the rob with Gavin, who seemed to have appointed himself leader in place of Hanton and Forest, who had seemingly buggered off for good. Not that that bothered Simon, he didn’t much care for the politics of the group, just as long as he was allowed to keep doing his thing. What did bother him, though, was having to work in close proximity to Gavin. The two had never got on - Simon suspected Gav still didn’t want him as part of the Greensleeves - but some how they’d ended up on a job together, which he got the feeling was Gina’s doing.
The robbing had been almost an entire failure, involving several heated arguments and a near stabbing, and then he’d come home to find some new bastard lounging around in the camp. And Josh - his Josh - was playing nurse like some bloody woman. Simon had always had a possessive streak when it came to josh, something that probably wasn’t healthy for either of them. It was probably because Josh was the one who’d brought him to the Greensleeves in the first place, and partly because the younger man was so accommodating, compared to the rest of them.
Said possessive streak was probably why Simon had stalked back out of the camp almost as soon as he’d arrived back with Gavin. He’d taken an immediate dislike to the newcomer - to his eyes, he had a face that looked like it needed to be punched, probably repeatedly, although enraging Gina - who already seemed to be keening over the invalid - would have been a suicidal move. So instead he’d gone out into the forest and taken his short-sword to an unsuspecting tree. Despite his best efforts, the tree was looking almost exactly the same as it had before he stated attacking it, and he mood was blackening by the moment. He was beginning to think he might just behead the next person he came across for therapeutic purposes.
