WITTY: Ah yes. See, as many people do not often speak to Maddie, she spends her time thinking on the matters of thing. She does happen to possess, naturally, a keen since of wit about her. While sometimes this can come across as sarcasm, or even ceaseless mocking, she is simply speaking her mind. Again, while this can be a helpful trait, it can just as easily earn her way into trouble.
HARD-WORKING: Now see here, Maddie is a determined young girl – she is dead set on having her way, and usually, as she is denied it, she has to get there herself. And as far as she is concerned, she can and will get there herself. She dedicates herself completely to something that she was accomplished, such as her music or her school work, until she gets what she wants done. This can be a very helpful attribute, but many other times it can easily get her into trouble for being ever-so persistent.
D ELICATE: More or less, this is the very best way to describe Maddie – she was born prematurely, and with the smaller than she should have been accompanied by her blindness, and easy mistaken-footed nature, she is a very delicate creature indeed. She is frail, and this reputation can often precede her, thanks to her brothers and parents hovering over her – other people who do not know her do so as well, which she finds strange, but does not comment on.
CURIOUS: Ever heard the expression that curiosity killed the cat? Well, admitably, Maddie is not dead yet. But she has gotten into trouble more than once for her curiosity. Maddie cannot but help herself when she wonders of what may be happening around her – she cannot see it, but that only ever makes certain noises or smells ever the more exciting!
CAREFUL: Yes, a bit contradictory as to what is said above – but not entirely. Yes, Maddie is a very curious person indeed, but her parents, each extremely protective of their daughter, have instilled in her the trait of cautiousness. It takes a lot of work to keep herself from straying off toward something interesting, and much self-restraint. She has, by this point in time, trained herself to think things through more thoroughly before she goes through with them – rash behavior never did her any good.
FAITHFUL: When one is blind, and they cannot see the things and people that are around them, they need to learn to rely on their instincts. And for Maddie, that can sometimes be hard to do. She does have to make sure that she relies on them however, for if she ever for a moment doubts what she is feeling, she could make an epic mistake. She is a trusting person when it comes to faith – it’s what gets her through her days, whether she likes it or not.
PROTECTIVE: Yeah, Maddie gets easily scared – everyone knows it, and everyone takes advantage of it. But anyone who has ever met Maddie and done something to upset a family member or a close friend, she’ll be the first to hunt them down and at the very least attempt to stand up to them and give them a good, stern talking to: when that fails, for it always does, she’s the first to return to the person who’s been injured and be a good comfort. She knows she’s not exactly the fiercest badger in the family, but she does try her best.
STUBBORN: Jeez, if there is one thing that you should never ever do around Maddie, its argue. Because she will not give up. She will say something back to you during any argument no matter how long it takes until one of two things happens: either she's made her point, or she gets her way. Usually its both. But very rarely does Maddie ever lose an argument. She would be the first to start an argument and the last to leave it alone, even long after everyone else is sitting there with their head in their hands thinking MADDIE, PLEASE shut up!
