About your Character
Name: Edward Foster
Nickname: None
Age: 20
Country: England
Position:Ex-Soldier/Peasant
Job: War horse trainer
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Lightish brown
Height: 6'1"
General Appearance: Edward is pretty reasonable looking and he uses it to his advantage. His parents were both of English descent. He is of slight muscular build which was achieved after endless hours working with the animals he loves. He wears open front tunics to show off his muscles most of the time, no matter what the weather. Never is he seen though without leather chaps or riding gear on as well. Although it doesn't seem like it, he is very careful about the way his brown hair sits, he only likes in one way, medium-short and deliberately messy.
Apart from his body and hair, it is his face that catches your attention. Although not the most handsome man around he still has a very well put together, attractive face. Edward has high, well-rounded cheekbones that offset his face shape nicely. His two stand out facial features are his soft mouth, that often turns up in a cheeky smile, and his piercing green eyes.
Likes: *Horses
*Women
*Family
*Jokes and laughing
*Taking the easy way out of things
*Children
Dislikes: *Dishonesty (when it's not him)
*The death of a horse needlessly
*Cruelty to both people and animals
*Ugly women (he is a tad shallow)
*Taxes
*Awkward silences
*Real hard work like farming
Personality:Very cocky, Edward's witty remarks often land him in hot water with local villagers and authority. When with people his exterior is extremely confident, especially around women. Basically Edward is a Casanova who loves and then leaves. Also he loves to joke and often comes out with snide and witty comments at somewhat inappropriate times to inappropriate people. Also has a very sharp temper. He is a very impatient person and gets bored easily with others.
But around people it's just an act.
Although cocky and arrogant around people, around horses his true side comes out. Around horses Edward is gentle and soft. He is patient and calm. To him, horses are the only ones he can reveal his true self to.
Family: Father: Ben Foster (deceased)
Mother: Sarah Foster (deceased)
Brother: John Foster (missing)
Background:Born to a poor peasant woman and hunter father, Edward was brought up rather well. He was well educated in reading and writing but his brother was always a little better. When Edward was about 10 his mother was killed in a tragic accident involving bandits and mistaken identity. Edward's father was devastated and spent more and more time hunting in the woods for the nearby nobleman, leaving Edward to raise his younger brother John. Often Edward would wander to the village's small stables to escape his problems and it was their he discovered his love of horses. As he grew older he began to sneak into the nearby castle's stables, where the magnificent horses lived, and watched men training them.
He kept returning at night to work with a certain black colt who had taken his eye as soon as Edward had seen him. One night he was caught by the master of the stable, who saw Edward's talent and offered him a job and the colt. When he turned 16 he joined the army to train war horses. A few years later, as he worked in Jerusalem, news reached him that John had disappeared and he came back to England to search for his brother.
Now Edward wanders between villages secretly seeking news of John.
Anything else: Has a black stallion called Jack
Face Claim: Jensen Ackles
RP Sample: Chucking a small stick in the now dead fire, Edward pulled himself stiffly off the ground and began to gather his things. As he packed he tried in vain to shake off the grogginess of the night past. He stretched and yawned loudly, causing the nearby tethered black stallion to raise his head in alarm.
"It's okay Jack, only me," Edward laughed as Jack silently glared back at him. Giving a final snort of disinterest, the stallion returned to warming himself in the early morning light. Swiftly Edward gathered what belongings he had and stuffed them into two leather saddlebags hanging off a simple saddle that lay next to his sitting log.
"Time to go boy," Edward cooed, quietly approaching Jack, leather bridle in hand. Jack stared back in apprehension but made no fuss as the man gently slid the bit into the horse's mouth.
"I'm sure there's a village nearby, Locksley I think it's called," Edward said more to himself than to Jack. Both the man and the horse were beginning to miss the company of others and a new village was something to look forward to, maybe they knew of his brother, maybe he was their.
