General Appearance: Mina is quite lithe, with a slim chest and straight hips. This helps with the masquerading as a man though she does strap her upper chest to give herself a more masculine outline. As a result, she does look rather like a young man, hence playing Mason as a seventeen-year-old. Her face is feminine, with round cheeks, an oval face and bright wide eyes. She wears a fake moustache to help her disguise, and her hair is cut short and is usually unkempt.
Her clothes are generally loose, and dark coloured. Shes always careful never to give any hints as to her real identity, and she tries to always talk in a deeper tone. Her natural voice is typically female, and would lead to questions. Despite her efforts, its generally theorised that Mason is in fact a eunuch.
Likes: Taking risks, fencing, hunting, making cruel jokes at other people's expense and her personal space.
Dislikes: Pretty things, women, dogs, lamb/mutton and not getting enough sleep.
Personality: Feisty, adventurous, rash, and quick to judge. Living on the streets has given Mina a swift mind and a biting tongue. She never takes an insult, and is not afraid to stand up to men. She is however wary of those with a higher rank, and can bite her tongue if needs be. Though she doesn't have the physical strength of most men, Mason will follow out all orders, even beating peasants. After all, its their own fault that they're poor.
Mina has little tolerance for fops, and will readily avoid nobility. She despises noble women, and any lady wearing finery is a target for Mina's derogatory words. The same goes for peasants and one of her favourite past times is abusing them with the other guards. She can go too far, however, and she knows she should calm down as the only risk she won't take is revealing her true nature. In truth, Mina would rather have been born Mason.

Background: All her life Mina wanted more than to grow up and learn how to sew, cook and clean for the husband her father told her she would have one day. At the age of 12 she plucked up the courage to run away from home and she lived as a street urchin. She quickly learned that even on the streets with the poorest of the poor it was easier to get by if you were male so she cut her hair short and started dressing as a boy.
Eventually she returned to Nottingham as she believed joining the Sheriff's guard would award her the taste for adventure she'd always craved. Obviously Vaysey was not going to hire a girl to guard him so she continued her charade and having lived as a boy on the streets for all those years she has almost perfected her act.
