General Appearance:
Rose has an oval shaped face and a square chin, though it is more rounded and less masculine looking. Her nose is slightly upturned and straight. Her eyes are oval shaped with eyebrows that have slightly high arch. She is not one who gets puffy bags under her eyes if she doesn't sleep, but if she goes a whole night without sleeping, then she runs the risk of it. Her skin tone is pale, yet with a slight tan to it. She has no visible blemishes on her face or neck. Her lips are full and her smile would be considered one of her best features. When she smiles, her whole face brightens up. It gives her a look of being charming.
Rose has long, dark brown, semi-curly hair. It can be hard to tame sometimes during the summer heat, but generally she wears it back in a simple style. For bed she would braid it into one simple cord down her back. When not on duty and finding herself completely alone, she would wear it in an up and down with a ribbon. Her hair is her second best feature.
Rose's neck is long and slender, coming down to broad shoulders. She is slim and curvaceous, standing a little bit taller than average height. One may not call her well endowed, but she has an athletic body with a tiny waist. Rose is a servant, so she is limited in the clothing she wears. Being a servant of the Locksley Manor, she is slightly better dressed than the others in her village. She had one good dress for May Day and other special occasions. It is cream colored with a little bit of lace that was passed down through the family.
Rose also has her outlaw clothes which she keeps hidden. It consists of a dark green tunic and a leather bodice on top. She has a sword belt that belonged to her brother. She wears either a green or brown skirt with loose pants under nether. She braids her hair back and also wears a dark green mask that covers the upper half of her face.

Personality:
Rose is not frightened of Sir Guy and the Sheriff. In fact she likes the rush of crossing them as often as she can. Rose was raised with her brother so she knows sword fighting, though she excels at the bow and arrow. Rose has always wanted to join Robin and his gang, though she also needs to take care of her invalid brother and sick mother. Because of this she cannot run off into the forest, but she dreams of it. Instead she satisfies herself by stealing from Sir Guy and not getting caught. She has come close though.
Though it seems that Rose doesn't have much sense in her thwarting the Sheriff and Sir Guy, Rose is rather intelligent. She is able to escape without being caught and she is also very resourceful. Rose taught herself how to read and write on her own, though her penmanship is rather poor.
With her intelligence comes her charm and her wit. She has a charming personality that comes with her grin. She knows how to give her full attention to the person she is talking to. She is sweet and humorous, with an edge of sarcastic wit occasionally, especially if she is angry and is attempting not to show it. Rose knows how to be the center of attention, but she tends to be more of a wallflower. Still, if she is given the chance, she can easily entertain a small group with her conversation.
Rose is very passionate. She can get passionate about an opinion or a subject. She is also passionate when it comes to romance, though Rose really hasn’t been in love. She does believe in love and hopes that one day she would be, but she does not believe in a loveless marriage. Rose sometimes gets too passionate about a subject and that's where her desire to fight against the Sheriff comes from.

Background: Rose is the youngest child of John and Lily Barns. Her father was the head stable master at Locksley Manor and Lily was a maidservant for the lady of the manor. When Robin's mother died, she continued working at the manor. When John Jr. was born, he followed in his father's footsteps. Then Rose was born.
As a child she harbored a secret crush on Robin Hood, though she always hoped Marian would marry him, being a hopeless romantic. Her father was the first to join the crusades, but he was fatally injured and died on the way home. This left Lily quite heartbroken, but she lived on. Then John Jr. decided to follow in his father's footsteps and left Rose to protect her mother. But he was injured and lost feeling in his left hand. He was also badly burned throughout his body and was mentally unstable at times. He was sent home.
Her mother could not handle the fate of her only son and husband and had a relapse, which left Rose in charge of everything. She couldn't handle it and decided to start stealing from Sir Guy. Little things only. From the thrill and satisfaction, she continued to steal and then came up with the disguise, the Red Hawk. Once Marian joined the gang, she felt it was her job to take care of the peasants.
Anything else: she has a saracen sword from her brother and her arrows have red feathers at the end
