Think back to the Marauders' seventh year in schooling.

It was an exciting time of
magic and mayhem.
Though, there was something
much more sinister happening
right outside of their walls.[/size]

The First War was beginning

Voldemort had yet to gain the
power he needed, but he was
getting very close. Deaths were
occuring oftener than not.
Suddenly, someone's relative would
disappear or turn up dead with no
marks on the body at all. Even muggles
showed up in the newspaper about
an unexplained death, blamed on
a heart attack or lack of oxygen,
but nothing was ever proved.

Voldemort was rising

As a multitude of things
began going wrong, the
Ministry of Magic began
shutting down what they
could to keep the talk of
war silent. They weren't
going to do anything about
it. To them, it was as if it
didn't exist.

This is slightly an alternate
universe, meaning that something
could happen uncanon.
Deaths will occur that
wouldn't normally occur.
People could live that
shouldn't have.
