It has been seven years since the final battle, seven years since the death of The Boy Who Lived, seven years since we lost our freedom....The American Constitution used to say that everyone was entitled life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That document was burned several years ago...
I’m a Mudblood living in Diagon Alley. I used to be a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...before Lord Voldemort took over. I used to be happy, carefree, I even had a boyfriend, but then we lost our freedom. Lord Voldemort has taken over the wizarding world as a whole. People like me, people without pure blood, must now live under a set of codes called Mudblood Act 2000[/[ftp][/ftp]b], a set of codes which dictate our freedom. We don’t have wands, we don’t have real homes, we don’t even have a right to say no to being raped by a pureblood. I hardly remember what it’s like to have a choice anymore....
People like me can be sold, become slaves, we’re lower on the social status list than House Elves. There is no separation between Muggles and Wizards anymore, I don’t even know if there are any Muggles left.
Lucius Malfoy is the Governor of London, and has total dictatorship over all of us. Lord Voldemort has his headquarters stationed at Hogwarts, or at least what is left of the place I used to long for on those hot summer days while I did my homework. We Mudbloods live in compounds, often seven or eight of us in one small room. You get to know those who are suffering like you are on a personal level.
But for being so crowded, I’ve never felt so alone
Is there something that can be done?
