Robin pulled on the lever that was encase in thestone wall, the front of the camp popping up. He had expected to be greeted by his Gang, all pottering about there usual morning business. But nobody was there. He'd known that John and Much would probably be off hunting or the like.. But the rest of them, Marian? Where were they?
Not here obviously. he mused to himself as he through down his catch in Much's so-called kitchen. He knew better than to go off and find the ret of teh gang. They could be anywhere, and Sherwood in itself was big enough, let alone with all the added Villages adn Nottingham. Please don't let them be in Nottingham he mused to himself.
It started as a stray thought. but the longer he spent on his own, sat on his, and Marian's, bunk, the more he worried. What if Gisborne had found the camp? What if he'd taken them back to the castle? What if they were to hang? Even wrose, what if they were already dead? He'd been late once before.
Stop it Robin! he chastised himself, bring his hands to his head in frustration. They'll be doing drop offs. They wouldn't let the poor down. Especially not Marian.

Robin looked up as the door opened, it was Marian. The doubt and worry he had been feeling suddenly lifted. "I am now," he smiled, standing to greet her with a small kiss on the lips. His hands madetheir way around her waist as he did so. He was still scared of losing her. Especially to Guy. It worried him that he had come so close to losnig her so many times now, he didn't want to do so again.
"Where have you been? You had me worried!" he knew she would probably get annoyed at him for worrying so much, she could take care of eself after all. But he cared. He couldn't be doing with her attitude towards his love for her right now. Not after everything. He loved her too much for that.

Marian and Djaq arrived back at camp, contemplating the close shave that had just taken place, giggling at their escape as if it had all been abit of fun (and Marian thought it had been, they weren't in any real danger. Not really, the two men were too far away to catch them through the crowd, and as far as Marian could tell, they had gone unnoticed). Marian reached out and pulled on the lever that accessed the camp, she had taken the sack from Djaq earlier on and was checking on the contents as she stepped inside. She looked up and saw Robin sitting on their bunk looking considerably worried, she dropped the sack and walked over to him, her own look of concern came from his, she hated seeing him look worried, it made her stomach twinge slightly, approaching him she asked "Are you ok?"

She welcomed the attention he gave her, hands around her waist, it was so good to see him again, she missed him (although she would never admit it), she was worried he was not around when she returned from her walk, she smiled cheekily as he asked where she had gone. "I" she began " have bought some new clothes! And made an arrangements to get you scruffy lot some new ones as well" She contemplated telling him about Guy and the Sheriff being in Knighton, but she didn't want him to worry for now, or think she was incapable of looking after herself. She walked over and showed him the sack. "But I could ask you the same question!" She noted " Where have you been?"

He laughed, Knighton. The seamtress that made pretty mucch all of Marian's dresses. Well fair enough. When she bought back over the sack full of clothing he was surprised at quite how much there was set before him. And there was more? Hwo could they possibly afford all of this?
"Well, the Nightwatchman has been digging into the profits," he laughed fingered through the array of different things. He then turned and pointed over to Much's kitchen. "I've been hunting for food," his catch of several rabbit, not quite enough to feed the gang, but with Much and John on the case he was certain they would soon have enough. "Can't have us survive the Holy Lands only to starve on our return."

"I paid her well for what she gave," Marian explained " her family are struggling at the moment, it seems the Sheriff has risen taxes so high, her mother was out trying to make ends meet.." She felt relief that she had given them enough money to last a while, and after telling Robin this, she walked over to the 'kitchen' and looked at the rabbits "Rabbit stew it is then! Much will be pleased" And with a smile she picked the sack and announced him to turn his back while she changed.

Robin chuckled as he too turned his back to give her more privacy. "Rabbit Stew, or Shish-ka-bob, if he's feeling adventurous. It depends on what they bring back." he smiled to himself at the thought of it. Lat time they had had 'shish-ka-bobby' was when they had found that weird Saracen mask. Allan and john's reactions to it had been most amusing, even if Harold trying to kill Djaq wasn't.
"I trust you were careful in the village, my love?"p/b] he knew now that he would get a clip round the head for pestering her so much. Of course she'd have been careful. He had to stop worrying so much, but until such times as the King return, he didn't see that happening.

Marian selected her new clothes carefully, and slipping them on she hoped Robin wouldn't laugh. She knew he wasn't used to her dressing like an oulaw. But she made a silent promise to give him a good whack if he did say anything. "Shish-ka-bob??" she repeated with a small laugh as she pulled on the breeches, fastening them tight. She had to pull up her new shirt to tie the strings and caught sight of the scar Gisborne had given her last year, it was still very promonant, at least the stitch marks had lightened and she ran her fingers over it as Robin asked "I trust you were careful in the village, my love?" She felt a small feeling of duty to tell him who she saw and turned around and said. "Yes... very careful. Careful to avoid Guy and the Sheriff... who were terrorising the villagers." She informed, a serious look on her face.

"Meat, and vegetable's all put on a stick, a new way a stew prety mcuh, its quite nice," It didn't take Robin long after that to hear teh words escape her mouth, turn on his heel, dispite her changing, and hurry over to her side, grabing her by the arms, not enoughh to hurt her however.
"What do you mean 'avoid Guy and the Sheriff'? What were you doing in the village at the same time of them? They could have done anyhting!" over reacting or not, he wasn't pleased. He'd thought her to have more sense than that. Obviously he had been wrong. After all they'd been through, after all they'd done to her, and she still wasn't careful enough.

"Robin!" She defended, shaking him off her. "The Miller's house would be the last place they'd look. It's not as if I just strolled into Knighton advertising myself, I was careful!" She glared at him as fiercely as she could, "If you cannot trust me to look after myself, then what is the point of me being here? I have told you before, Robin, I did not come here to be molliecoddled!"

He bit on his tongue. How close he came to repeating himself, 'Good!' he nearly yelled, but the thing was he didn't mean that. He kenw he didn't mean that. "I know," he started looked down to the floor, his hands resided on his hips, trying to take his authoritive role. With her it was impossible, she would always win against him. To her he was powerless.
"I know, I'm sorry," he thought about his next work carefully, but he knew if he didn't say the all he'd be an idiot. "I worry about you. Guy nearly killed you in the Holy Land. They took you from me, your life in danger. You have no idea how much it scares me when i don't know where you are. I don't mean to molliecoddle. But I worry. I'm sorry."

She looked at him, surpised by his apologie, she put her hands on his shoulders to try and comfort him. With a sigh she said "You have to trust me, Robin... I would do anything for you, and the gang, you have to let me be part of this." She gazed at him, hoping he would understand. "I was at a safe distance... they didn't even look in my direction." She knew this last comment was a feeble attempt to explain her actions. She knew she had not been cautious enough, and all for the sake of some clothes. But then there was no way she was going to admit she was wrong. She beant down to pick up the spilled clothes placing Allen's shirt on his bunk, and Much's breeches on his. Without looking up she suddenly found herself saying "I'm sorry though..." If he could say it, she was sure she could manage it aswel.

He looked to the floor, an glanced sideways up at her, in his Robin way, an smirked slightly at her, pulling her towards him wrapping his arms around her body. One hand reaching into her hair, bringing her head onto his chest. He breathed in her scent and smiled into her hair. Happy she was safe.
He sighed and kept her close to him. She didn't need him, she'd been the Nightwatchman before, years before Robin had even contemplated life a 'Robin Hood'. She was right, she could take care of herself. "I love you," he mumbled though her hair into her ear, kissing ehr lighty on the forehead.

She sighed into his chest as he pulled her close. Her arms pressed against him. The horrible knot in her stomach had loosened as he pulled her towards him. She hated them fighting. Especially after all that had happened in the Holy Land, she could see it was only natural for him to worry about her after all that had happened over there, but she needed them to be equals, else she could see herself getting just as frustrated as she had in the castle. This was a new start for her, different from when she had lived here last, enraged by the death of her father that made her do irrational things without thinking straight. She wanted this to be the best it could be, for them all to be working against the King and the Sheriff together. She closed her eyes and smiled hopefully as she responded "I love you too" and she really meant it.

He kept her in his grasp, never wanting to let go. He'd disappeared for five years without word to her, he didn't want that to happen again on any level. Runnign his hands lightly through her hair he looked around, Djaq was back, but where were the others? Will? Much? John? even Allan...
His eyebrows knitted together in a frown, where could they be?
"Marian," he said lightly, not letting go, "Do you know where the others have gotten to? Much and John were hunted, but will, and Allan."
