Watching & Waiting VII

Marian looked up so suddenly that Luke almost took a step back. He held his ground though and came over as she stood up demanding to know what had happened.

"Will..." He began uncertainly, lip trembling slightly. He took a deep breath and started again. "Will got into a fight with Gisbourne to distract him and now they've taken him away to the castle." He reached out to her bound hands and began to work on the knot. It was tied pretty tight, Robin clearly hadn't wanted her to escape.

"Robin is at Kate's house with Djaq and Allan." He tugged hard on one end of the rope to pull it loose. "Allan sprained his ankle before they got to Knighton but Djaq is tending to it." Luke hoped what he was telling her was important, they couldn't afford to waste time, but he figured one of the outlaws being injured affected what kind of plan they could make.

Marian listened carefully to what Luke had to say, Gisborne had taken Will to the castle? It wasn't as if she was ungrateful that Gisborne hadn't run Will through, but why had he spared his life? There was no obvious reason that came to Marian's mind as she stood being untied, and as soon as word of Robin escaped Lukes lips Marian knew she had to get to Kate's as quick as possible, they needed a plan and soon.
She placed a hand on Lukes shoulder squeezing as she gave a hopeful smile "We'll get him back, Luke, I promise. Come on." and with that she gestured for him to follow, picking up her sword that she had lost during the struggle with Robin and placed it in her belt and made her way acoss the market place, keeping an eye out for any stray guards, to Kate's house.
