Description: Arnold is a gruff old man, of around 40 years of age, and isn't particularly skinny (which is putting it quite mildly). He's been a blacksmith for most of his life, following in his father's footsteps, and can't imagine a life unrelated to working metal. Sometines people wonder if he doesn't love his anvil more than he loved his dead wife, Eliza (only a young woman when she caught the flu, and it was such a tragedy), as he didn't appear to grieve particularly much. He lives in a small house on the edge of the village, where the noise from his work won’t affect the nobles or most of the villagers.
Arnold is, like many men of the time, keen on his ale - it’s the only escape, apart from metalwork, from the dark times in which they live. He is very loud either sober or drunk, and his laugh sounds like someone trying to carve steel with a toothpick - he very much is a living anvil. He is strong, study, never ill, and a little bit too interested in young women to be healthy, but no one really comments on it because he has fair prices for his business, and will make whatever is in his ability.
