The noonday sun attempted to shine through the canopy of the large trees, but failed. The shade in the forest was pleasant, cool - very different from the warm sun that greeted you as soon as you left the shelter of the trees. As Eve watched a leaf fall from a tree she was reminded that summer was, in fact, over. Fall had begun and, soon, it would be winter. Eve was not looking forward to that, not a bit or a pinch. Normally, she would be excited to witness the change of the seasons and the weather. But, for some reason, living out in the forest without benefit of a warm fire in the stone fireplace and legitimate shelter did not appeal to the young blonde's tastes. Perhaps, if she was in Much's company, the whole ordeal would not be so bad. But, in light of recent events, that senerio was highly unlikely.
Moving out along a shaded log onto the stream that fed into the lake, she dipped her barefeet in the cool water. It was a warmer day, and so this was totally fine, she would not catch cold from having wet feet in this weather. balancing her shoes on the log, she then took in her surroundings. This was a pleasant place - peaceful, serene. Too bad it was soon to be interrupted.
After the murder of Card and his family - she had stolen (Well, salvaged really) his boy's clothing and the man's cap. It was much easier to travel this way, in men's attire - it was comfortable, and rather accomodating. Her hair was loose instead of in it's usual braid, and, pulled over the crown of her head in a very Much-esque style, she sported a cap.
Ah, What fashion!
As she splashed again she heard a sound that had not been made by the stream at all. It was someone, or something, moving amongst the fallen leaves. Eve listened a moment more and concluded whome ever it was WAS human, but not Much or Robin, for that matter. She knew their walks, strange was that sounds. Robin's stride was sort of soft and elicate, calculated even - and, Much, well, he was the exact opposite, hasty and not quite as careful. This was someone else - most likely another one of Robin's ment - for who else would be out here?
So Eve waited, who ever it was would be to the stream soon enough. Little did Eve know that this meeting was to be less than 'fun'
