Everyone Knows The Stories;
The Legend of Robin Hood...
The legend of Robin Hood is one of the most famous stories in English history. Even today, the mere mention of his name is enough to conjure up images of sword-fights, lush green forests and arrows whizzing through the air. But over the years, the legend has changed so many times, it's difficult to know where the truth in this story lies any more. Well, this is one idea...
But now, the character's we've
all grown to love are real...
And they're starting to live
their own lives...
As Robin returns home to Nottingham after five long years in the Holy Land, the county he knew as home has been changed beyond belief; the people are suffering, children are brutally punished for simply stealing a few scraps of food in an attempt to survive, and the power in Nottingham is held by the ruthless new Sheriff and his lieutenant Sir Guy of Gisborne. But all of this is nothing compared to the news that his beloved Marian died in an outbreak of the sweating sickness that claimed the lives of her entire village...
But not quite in accordance
to how the legends went, or
were ever supposed to go...
But Marian isn't dead, and if she can keep it up, won't be for a long time yet. Not everyone in Knighton died from the pestilence, those few lucky survivors met their demise at the hands of a contingent of the Sheriff's men ordered to ensure nobody survived. She was one of a handful who still had the strength to fight back, and she fled into Sherwood never to be seen again. Well, depending on how you look at the situation. Countless villagers have come into contact with either the young ex-noblewoman, or her two alter egos; the Nightwatchman and the Raven Queen, over the last three years, as Marian has lead her own small gang of outlaws in retaliation against the Sheriff's brutality. For now though, she's content to keep Robin in the dark about her survival; her broken heart is still yet to completely heal. But it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out one way or the other...
No tights, no green hats,
no merry men...
These people are as real as
they can get...
With two outlaw gangs running around Sherwood, robbing the rich to return the county's taxes back to the people who are suffering to pay them, it's only a matter of time before they run into one another. Marian's gang have got a little bit of a more flamboyant way of going about their mission after all. And it's not only the outlaws of Nottingham who are fighting back, certain nobles and villagers are more than happy to pass in information and supplies to both gangs at the risk of their lives if it means the the Sheriff will finally be deposed...
And that means they live
how they want to...
On the wrong side of the law...
Yet for all those willing to risk their lives to give Nottingham the fresh start it is in dire need of, there are those who will lie, cheat and use every trick at their disposal to ensure they retain the power they've become accustomed to. These people would willingly betray the gang to the Sheriff to make sure their power isn't threatened in any way, shape or form. Nobody wants to end up on the streets after all. In such a volatile environment, the outlaws are going to have to learn just who they can trust to ensure their cause doesn't fail...and fast...
This war's only just begun...
Welcome to Sherwood like you've never seen it before...
