Luke smiled weakly at Djaq as she said he could ride on the back of her horse. ”Thank you.” He mumbled, still looking rather pale, it wasn't that he wasn't grateful, quite the opposite in fact, it was just that on the way back he would have two things to worry about. Will and the horse. Talk about letting him splash in the shallows then throwing him in the ocean. Luke shuddered at that particular image too, he wasn't fond of swimming or water, and Will had only been able to persuade him to try for long enough to get the hang of staying afloat and a lopsided doggy paddle.
He shook himself from these disturbing thoughts. It didn't matter that he was afraid of riding at the moment, he still had to do it, he'd do anything to save Will. Even if he'd had to swim all the way from the camp to the castle he still would've done it. He laid his hand on one of the axes he'd picked up in Knighton square. The feeling of the wood and metal under his hand was comforting. It reminded him of Will.
Robin and Marian were having a moment and Luke resisted making a face. He knew it was childish of him, but he didn't understand how they could be so... romantic. So in love. He didn't think he'd find anyone he'd love enough to make such public displays of affection with them. Especially since Will, and probably Allan he thought sourly, would never let him live it down. After a moment or two Luke cleared his throat loudly, it was all very well the two of them saying their intimate warnings or goodbyes to each other, but he wanted to get on and rescue his brother. He moved over to Djaq, sticking close to her so that when it came to it he could scramble onto the horse behind her, or at least try to...
(OOC: I'll leave one of you lot to finish off the thread then ^_^)
